Alyssa Mecham, CSW

Alyssa is a therapist intern in her final year of the Master of Social Work program at the University of Utah. Prior to attending the University of Utah, Alyssa graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development within the School of Family Life from Brigham Young University. Some of her experience includes years of aiding neurodiverse adolescents in developing appropriate emotion regulation and social skills in a residential setting, belonging to a group of direct care staff in a wilderness therapy environment, and executing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with young children with clinical autism diagnoses. Alyssa is stunned by human capacity, potential, and resilience. She believes that everyone deserves to take up space in an environment where they feel believed in. Alyssa particularly enjoys working with adolescents.

Alyssa is a big four-wheeling fan, enjoys movies based on true stories, running, all things Disneyland, and a good burger.
