Appointments: in-person and telehealth
Location: St. George
Carrie is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and a licensed associate marriage and family therapist. Carrie received her Master of Professional Counseling with Grand Canyon University and is currently pursuing her PhD in Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy with Northcentral University.
Carrie has an extensive knowledge in understanding the complexity of how trauma can impact our lives, whether it is trauma that happens directly to us or indirectly through others. Sometimes our trauma and life experiences can make us hide authentic parts of ourselves, interfere with our physical health and can occur from various experiences. Carrie specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, Sex Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Systemic Family Therapy. Carrie uses different tactics for treatment combined with creativity to reach the desired outcomes. Carrie believes self-reflection leads to self-awareness, which leads to self-correction, which leads to change, which leads to new experiences, and it always starts with self.
When Carrie is not helping others to reach their desired goals, she is spending time with her family, spoiling her grandkids, traveling, or trying new hobbies.
