Cheryl moved to St George, Utah about a year ago from San Diego. She was previously a physical therapist and has made a career shift into counseling. She enjoys working with children, teens, and their parents and has special interest in helping people with trauma, grief, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, specific learning challenges, and behavioral, emotional, or academic problems at school and home.
She uses a wide range of approaches including EMDR, expressive arts, developmentally focused play therapy, attachment theory, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She is a “neuroscience nerd” who loves to help people understand their brain and body. One of the most healing aspects of therapy is the connection with another person and that is what Cheryl loves to do; connect with you. Although life might be very difficult for you right now, Cheryl believes that life can improve in the short term even when deeper work is needed.
