Meet Our Team
Alyssa Mecham, LCSW
(she/her/hers)
Therapist: teens, adults
Appointments: in-person and telehealth
Location: Riverton
As a LCSW, Alyssa is continually inspired by the resilience, growth, and quiet courage she witnesses in others every day. She believes healing begins in a space where people feel heard, valued, and free to show up as they are. Alyssa approaches therapy with curiosity, compassion, and authenticity, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build practical skills, deepen self-understanding, and create meaningful change.
Alyssa’s clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including residential treatment for adolescents, wilderness therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for young children with autism. These experiences have shaped her appreciation for meeting individuals where they are and honoring the unique path that brings them to therapy. Alyssa works with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), life transitions, and emotional regulation challenges, tailoring treatment to each person’s unique experiences and goals.
Alyssa earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Utah and her bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Brigham Young University. Outside of her clinical work, you’ll often find her recharging outdoors, seeking out new adventures, or spending meaningful time with the people she loves.
